The laboratory draws together a range of scientific disciplines and skills in order to tackle biological problems at the systems level. This research offers interdisciplinary training opportunities for individuals with either a biological or physical sciences background. Techniques involved in the laboratory depend on the expertise of statistical physics, computational biology, lasers, time-resolved fluorescence, video microscopy, protein-engineering, signal transduction, gene expression, and microbiology.
