Assistant Professor Positions
Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology
Harvard University
As part of a broad expansion in the Life Sciences at Harvard University, the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology seeks applications for tenure-track faculty positions. We are particularly interested in candidates who take cell biological or genetic approaches to address fundamental questions in biology. Our department covers a broad range of topics, including cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, developmental biology, neurobiology, molecular evolution, systems biology, biochemistry, and structural biology, and provides access to state of the art animal facilities (mouse, zebrafish, Xenopus, Drosophila) and core facilities (imaging, proteomics, genomics, bioinformatics). The MCB department is closely associated with science initiatives at Harvard such as the Center for Brain Science, the FAS Center for Systems Biology, the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, and the Origins of Life Initiative.
We strongly encourage applications from women and minority candidates. Applications should include: curriculum vitae, reprints of publications, and a statement of present and future research plans (1-3 pages). Complete applications and three letters of recommendation, solicited by the applicant, should be received not later than 3 November 2008.
