Research interests:

I am interested in the modulation of voltage-gated potassium channels by G protein-coupled receptors. In particular I am focusing in the regulation of Kv1.2 by m1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor. Recently I found that the small GTP-binding protein RhoA directly associates and modulates Kv1.2 channel. Further, in collaboration with Dr. Morielli we found that RhoA is involved in the signal transduction pathway linking m1 receptor to Kv1.2 channel modulation. My current interest is focusing in further characterize the G protein-coupled receptor modulation of Kv1.2 trying to identify new proteins that are involved in this signal transduction pathway.
