For the second year in a row, donations to MCB’s annual holiday gift drive will go to Rosie’s Place, the oldest women’s shelter in the U.S. Rosie’s Place aids and shelters thousands of poor and homeless women in the Boston area. Sought-after items include new bath and body sets, throws/blankets, pajamas, bathrobes, slippers, sets of hats, scarves, and gloves, and gift wrapping supplies. Until Wednesday, December 4th, donations can be dropped off in the BioLounge or in MCB’s Core Admin Suite in the Northwest building, 190; M-F 9-5
To kick off the giving season, MCB will also hold a Harvest Bake Sale to benefit Rosie’s Place on Monday, November 25; noon- 5:00 pm. As you head out for Thanksgiving break, stop by the bake sale at the Northwest Café Reception Area (at main entrance) pick up a slice of pie or a cookie.
