Research

My job in Lichtman Lab is to apply my engineering skills to overcome the technical obstacles and facilitate the connectome study. Currently I’m mostly working on two projects: 1) Develop an efficient and robust workflow for the image acquisition procedure on the Multi-Beam Scanning Electron Microscope, and build tools to make sure every link in the workflow works smoothly and correctly. 2) Design and implement an image registration algorithm to align low-resolution EM data. The aligned low-resolution EM volume is an important bridging tool to connect the high-resolution EM images and images from other modalities.
