I have lived my whole life in the Boston area. I grew up in Lexington, MA, and then traveled the harrowing eight miles to Brandeis University in Waltham for college. After school I made it all the way to Cambridge where I have worked at the Broad Institute for the past three years. At Brandeis I studied transcription initiation using single molecule experiments and at the Broad Institute I developed technologies to study proteins and protein interactions in single cells. While I do not have one biological question I am interested in studying, I hope to combine the skills I learned in my past research experiences to learn more about how cells function individually and as a group.Between studying for classes and doing research, I’ll probably be drawing little cartoons on free post-it-notes or scrap pieces of paper.
