Fanuel Muindi grew up in Tanzania and completed his undergraduate degree at Morehouse College and his PhD in Biology at Stanford University. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is now Assistant Director of Graduate Programs in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard University. He is also the Founding Member of the Stem Advocacy Institute (SAI) which focuses on characterizing and building new connections between science and society. His research interests lie in understanding the development of connections between science and society. In his spare time, Fanuel likes to meditate, run, and take pictures. He is a fan of black and white photographs and is the author of the Reflections photo-book series.
