I was born in Seoul and moved to Paris when I was 12 years old. During high school, I had a deep interest in philosophy and sciences. This interest oriented me towards biomedical sciences and notably pharmaceutical studies. Hence, I attended Pharmacy school at Paris Descartes University in 2013. Since 2017, I conducted my externship (semi-residency) in the child psychiatry unit at La Pitié Salpêtrière hospital. Even though I was in Pharmacy school, I was always interested in research; I am especially keen to elucidate the way the environment shapes one’s behavior, especially in relation with psychiatric illnesses. During my stay at Harvard, I would like to decorticate neuronal networks that determine one’s comportment and to understand the way external stimuli modify it during early life. My ultimate goal would be to understand mental diseases better and to purpose new therapy. Beside my academic interest, I love wandering in the city and discovering hidden local restaurants with a primary focus on desserts. Before I stopped for Pharmacy school, I used to play the classical piano and would be happy to re-start it at Harvard!
