I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, and went to Cornell University for my undergraduate education. My interest in science stems from my aspirations to become a veterinarian as a child. However, as I took more and more of the courses necessary to apply to vet school, I realized how much I truly loved the science itself and how much more we had to learn as a scientific community.
As an undergraduate, my main research experience looked to better characterize the secretome of equine mesenchymal stromal cells. In graduate school, I intend to continue conducting research in the field of stem cell biology, working to understand some of the field’s unanswered questions.
As a Buffalonian, my hobbies are eating chicken wings and shoveling snow off my driveway. Just kidding, but I do very much like chicken wings and I do enjoy exercising (but not in the form of shoveling my driveway). In addition, I have been riding horses since elementary school and love animals of all shapes and sizes!
