I’m driven by a fascination with the evolution of animal behavior—from molecules to neural circuits. I’m especially interested in sensory systems, and how communication between species gives rise to diversification and speciation.
By studying the interactions between springtails and mosses (ancient lineages that represent the first land animals and plants, respectively), I aim to understand how these processes shaped Earth’s earliest terrestrial ecosystems and drove the evolution of complex life on land.
