Shree Bose, an MCB undergraduate from Gary Yellen’s Lab, at Harvard Medical School was chosen as one of Glamour magazine’s Top 10 College Women for 2015. Bose is currently  studying metabolic cellular states in real time using fluorescent sensors developed in the lab. In 2011, she won grand prize in the first ever Google Global Science Fair, and later co-founded Piper, which developed kid-friendly build-it-yourself computer kits.

Bose said: “I was incredibly honored to be able to represent Harvard and the work I have done with Piper on such a global platform as one of Glamour’s Top 10 College Women. The chance to meet amazing mentors like Holly Gordon (founder of Girl Rising) and get really practical and real advice for how to make an impact in the world was really inspirational, and I was incredibly lucky to be a part of such a great program.”

“I’m currently a junior in Dunster House concentrating in MCB, and being surrounded by so many brilliant, genuine, and ambitious friends has really given me the support system to believe I can pursue anything I’m interested in, and for that I will always be thankful.”
