MCB Graduate ’24 Edith (Tomi) Siyanbade Awarded Marshall Scholarship

MCB concentrator and 2024 graduate Tomi Siyanbade has been named a Marshall Scholar and will pursue a doctoral degree in Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford. The prestigious scholarship supports outstanding American students for graduate study in the United Kingdom.

Siyanbade’s MCB experience was grounded in rigorous coursework, including MCB 60 (Cell Biology) and MCB 63 (Biochemistry), alongside research in the Pardis Sabeti Lab. Beyond the lab and classroom, Siyanbade was an active member of the MCB community, regularly participating in sushi nights and coffee hours and spending time in the MCB lounge with fellow thesis students.

Since graduation, Siyanbade has been with DeciBio as a life sciences analyst.
