The MCB Community Forum takes place once each semester. This fall, MCB Chair Naoshige Uchida will lead the meeting on Friday, November 13, at 4:00 p.m. in the BioLabs Lecture Hall, Room 1080.
The Community Forum is an opportunity for the extended MCB community to hear department updates, learn what’s new in MCB, and ask questions. The recipient(s) of the 2026 Doty-Losick Prize for Exceptional Service will also be announced.
Nominations for the Doty-Losick Prize are open through Sunday, October 25, at 11:59 p.m. Community members are encouraged to recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond their usual responsibilities to support MCB. Nominators can complete the 2026 nomination form and upload a one- to two-page nomination letter. Additional information is available in the prize announcement.
The Forum, along with TGIF, will include pizza and beverages, will last about an hour, and provide time for in-person questions.
The Community Forum will replace the usual A Slice of Science talks that day.
Community members are encouraged to submit questions or topics for discussion in advance via email at mcb_ctf@fas.harvard.edu or anonymously through the department’s feedback form.
