About Me

Hey there, my name is Fardin. I was born to Afghan parents in Iran and spent part of my childhood in Russia before settling in the United States. Currently, I’m a graduate student in the D’Souza lab. I graduated from high school in Everett, MA, and began my higher education career at Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC), later transferring to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in biology. Beyond my academic pursuits, I am deeply committed to diversity outreach and mentorship, striving to support and inspire underrepresented groups in the scientific community. When I’m not in the lab, you can find me on the soccer field, exploring hiking trails, or enjoying the thrill of skiing.
