I grew up just outside of Baltimore, Maryland, and attended Mount St. Mary’s University for my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. After graduating, I transitioned to a research assistant position in Dr. David Ginty’s Lab at Harvard Medical School, where I worked on projects in the super cool fields of developmental neurobiology and somatosensation. When I joined the MCO program I thought I would be drawn to other scientific fields, but after my rotations, I realized that neurobiology and sensory biology still interested me the most. So, I joined Dr. Lisa Goodrich’s lab at Harvard Medical School to study the neurons that mediate our sense of hearing.
Outside of the lab, you will probably find me hiking in the White Mountains in NH, baking yummy treats, or painting with watercolors!
