MCB Has an Assistant Professor Search Underway. Apply!

We are seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology. The Department offers an interactive research community with interests in a broad range of topics, including cell biology, systems biology, biophysics, biochemistry, developmental biology, neurobiology, genetics, microbiology, computational biology, and structural biology. The appointment provides access to state of the art animal facilities and core facilities for imaging, proteomics, genomics and bioinformatics.

The Department is also closely associated with science initiatives at Harvard such as the Center for Brain Science, the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, the Broad Institute, the Center for Nanoscale Systems, and Harvard Quantitative Biology, and provides opportunities for interactions with the broader Harvard community.

A doctorate or terminal degree in relevant field or related discipline is required. Applications should include: curriculum vitae, teaching statement (describing teaching approach and philosophy), a statement of present and future research plans (1-3 pages), a statement describing efforts to encourage diversity, inclusion, and belonging, including past, current, and anticipated future contributions in these areas (1 page), three letters of recommendation, and reprints of publications.

Complete applications, including letters of recommendation, should be received no later than November 1, 2021.

We anticipate conducting in-person interviews (pandemic permitting) in January-February of 2022. There will be flexibility for anyone who is unable to travel due to pandemic restrictions

We are deeply committed to improving the diversity of Harvard’s faculty and scientific community and strongly encourage applications from women and minority candidates.
