I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. As an undergrad, I studied the genetic evolution of Caribbean endemic species, including conservation genetics of the Puerto Rican parrot. Now as a PhD student in Harvard’s MCO program, I investigate stem cell potency and dynamics during regeneration in Hofstenia miamia in the Srivastava Lab.
Beyond the lab, I’m passionate about fostering Latinx inclusion in STEM through mentorship and community engagement. When I’m not working, I enjoy fiction, coffee, and time outdoors—ideally all at once.
